About the role
This opportunity is an office/donor centre/home based role responsible for providing medical guidance to optimise donor, recipient, and blood component safety, in conjunction with medical specialists within Lifeblood. A portion of the work is provided via a rostered telephone advisory line. Flexible working hours including evenings and weekend shifts will be required following a training period.
The role reports to the Lead Medical Officer and is a part of a national Medical Officer team and works closely with medical specialists, nurses, and administrative staff plus liaises with scientists and other technical staff.
Sound interesting? Here’s what we are looking for;
- Medical degree
- At least 2 years’ clinical experience
- Current full registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate clearly
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in diverse cross-functional teams
- High level of competence in the use of information technology, including MS Office, and ability to rapidly acquire proficiency in the use of Lifeblood databases, use of telephony related applications, and utilisation of the Lifeblood intranet.
- Credentialing is required before commencement.
This is a fixed term part-time opportunity with a hybrid working model.
