About the role  

 

The Operations Performance Lead will partner with our Planning & Performance directorate and the wider Manufacturing & Logistics business. The role is central to enhancing performance insights, operational planning, forecasting, decision‑making, and driving continuous improvement.

 

Reporting to Operations Performance Manager, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Developing and delivering accurate, timely operational productivity reporting
  • Critical data analysis and supporting scenario-based capacity modelling, and,
  • Contributing to the overall maturity of production planning and performance of core national sites within a highly regulated environment.

 

Working alongside key stakeholders and members of the Planning & Performance team, you will contribute to a consistent and robust approach to performance measures, productivity modelling and planning across Lifeblood Manufacturing & Logistics (M&L) operations.

 

A day in the role will see you:  

 

  • Developing and delivering monthly and ad-hoc reports that provide clear visibility of operational performance against productivity targets.
  • Analysing complex data sets to identify operational trends, risks/gaps, and improvement opportunities, providing evidence-based recommendations to enhance operational performance.
  • Maintain consistency in productivity modelling and reporting across Manufacturing & Logistics, supporting the evolution of integrated planning standards, frameworks and processes.
  • Design and develop scenario-based capacity modelling that evaluates safety, quality, cost and service, to deliver strategic insights that enable critical decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders to align priorities, influence decisions, and ensure effective execution of operational planning
  • Data lead insights are presented in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders at all levels, using visualisation tools and data storytelling techniques to influence decision-making.
  • Support the development of national standards and procedures, and lead or contribute to the delivery of agreed change and strategic initiatives and projects

 

 

Sound interesting? Here’s what we’re looking for: 

 

  • Experience in designing, developing, or deploying productivity reporting and modelling tools including BI platforms or advanced analytics
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience in operational performance roles (e.g. GMP or science-based environments)
  • High proficiency in data analysis and business software tools, including advanced Python coding, Delta Bricks/Data Lake, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI & Tableau or similar data visualisation platforms.
  • Proven capability in productivity modelling, scenario analysis, and data-driven decision-making
  • Experience working with automated planning tools (ANAPLAN would be highly advantageous).
  • Demonstrated experience applying process improvement methodologies such as Lean and/or Six Sigma
  • Advanced analytical and planning skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and drive outcomes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills across multiple organisational levels
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and maintain attention to detail
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance standards
