About the role 

 

We are looking for Production Supervisors at Sydney Processing Centre to supervise & oversee the Processing team within the facility. You will ensure the required Production outcomes are being met through the effective delivery of the Production Schedule and effective management of resources and workflow within the Production environment. Ultimately this will lead to the efficient and timely supply of blood and blood products within a culture of service excellence. 

 

As a Production Supervisor you will continually look for ways to optimise work processes through active learning and adapting your approach to achieve great outcomes while working collaboratively with other team members.

 

Working with other supervisors you will lead a huge team responsible for processing all blood donations for NSW and ACT.  You will convert these donations into 25+ different blood derived products for delivery to the Australian Healthcare network. The role will require you to ensure consistent, safe and high quality products are produced. 

 

 A day in the role will see you:  

 

  • Developing & managing rosters and shifts and direct team members to react to manufacturing requirements
  • Co-ordinate with upstream and downstream departments
  • Identify new talent for the Production team & support in training and staff development
  • Utilise reports and forecasts to manage manufacturing targets and plans
  • Champion and lead continuous improvement items
  • Directly engage in blood processing activities

  • Production/processing experience in a technical or pharmaceutical manufacturing regulated GMP/GLP environment
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise a Production team, with previous supervision experience desirable
  • A current understanding of using standard operating procedures to perform a range of technical processes
  • Ability to work collaboratively for planning & effective management of a team and deliver on KPI’s
  • Ability to collaborate fluidly with peers and cross-functional groups
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and organizational skills required

 

You will be based in the Processing department at Sydney Processing Centre Monday – Sunday across a range of hours reporting to the Production Manager. There will be some on-call requirements and the need to work across some public holidays.
