Working with other supervisors you will lead a huge team responsible for processing all blood donations for NSW and ACT. You will convert these donations into 25+ different blood derived products for delivery to the Australian Healthcare network. The role will require you to ensure consistent, safe and high quality products are produced.
A day in the role will see you:
- Lead and develop a large skilled team in a unique production environment providing blood products for Australian healthcare providers and patients
- Developing & managing rosters and shifts and direct team members to react to manufacturing requirements
- Co-ordinate with upstream and downstream departments
- Identify new talent for the Production team & support in training and staff development
- Utilise reports and forecasts to manage manufacturing targets and plans
- Champion and lead continuous improvement items
- Directly engage in blood processing activities

- Ability to work collaboratively for planning & effective management of a team and deliver on KPI’s
- Ability to collaborate fluidly with peers and cross-functional groups
- Excellent written, oral communication, and organizational skills required
