DonateLife Victoria (DLV), under the direction of Australian Organ and Tissue Authority, works to maximise access for Australians to organ and tissue donation and transplantation through the implementation of national strategies and best practices. DLV works directly with 20 Victorian hospitals to ensure Victorians are able to fulfil their wishes to donate and that organ donation is an integral part of quality end of life care in Victoria. DLV is affiliated with the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood (Lifeblood).

DonateLife Victoria (DLV) facilitates organ and tissue donation in any health service within Victoria (including Albury NSW).
The Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for coordinating DonateLife Victoria’s statewide Volunteer and Community Engagement program, driving initiatives that promote organ and tissue donation awareness and encourage donor registration through impactful community-based activities.
This involves researching, developing and coordinating community-based activities, providing opportunities for volunteers, providing speakers for internal and external events, event support, managing merchandise, and coordinating data. The role will support the DonateLife Victoria Marketing and Communications team and the national DonateLife Communications team.

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across a broad range of stakeholders.
- Community engagement experience, preferably in healthcare or not-for-profit sector
- Highly organised and motivated and able to work well within a team environment
- Project management skills with demonstrated outcomes
- Experience with managing or working within a volunteer program would be highly regarded
This is fixed-term full-time position until the end of June 2026, however it is highly likely that this role will receive ongoing funding and extend beyond 6 months. The role is hybrid, offering 3 days WFH and 2 days onsite at the Carlton office. DonateLife is proud to accommodate flexible working and are open to conversations around what this means for you.
