About the role  

 

Working within our Manufacturing & Logistics Business Unit & supporting out Depot at ACT, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and team orientated individual to provide high levels of service & support to customers through picking & packing donated blood, the receipt and supply of blood product orders, management of customer feedback and delivery of consumables within the parameters of set procedures.

 

Overall you’ll contribute to the accurate and efficient movement and supply of blood and blood components within the frameworks of Lifeblood’s standard operating procedures. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of the process and maintain positive working relationships with staff and colleagues.

 

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where precision, care, and collaboration with team are essential to succeed in close-knit team environment.

 

A day in this role will include, but not limited to :

 

 

 

  • Delivering outstanding customer service to both internal and external stakeholders—because every interaction matters.
  • Accurately receive, process orders, enquiries, and critical product movements with accuracy and urgency
  • Maintain clean, safe, and compliant workspaces and equipment including cleaning of fridges, freezers & general work area.
  • Drive company vehicle & deliver the life-saving blood products as well as coordinate and support the transport and delivery through couriers & transport providers.
  • Maintain strict adherence & quality control measure through Standard Operating Procedures, cGMP, and TGA requirements
  • Support quality systems, record-keeping, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate inventory, cycle counts & monitor stock levels while equally ensuring products are traceable, correctly stored to be used before expiry.
  • Contribute ideas that enhance team performance and service delivery.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships through open communication and teamwork.

 

 

Sound interesting? Here’s what we’re looking for: 

 

  • Operational knowledge and experience of customer service, warehouse, and distribution processes and principles
  • High attention to detail resulting in accurate picking, packing and dispatch 
  • Solid customer service experience within a similar industry is ideal
  • Supply chain, warehouse or distribution experience would be beneficial preferably in the health sector, pharmaceutical or regulated environment 
  • Ability to undertake routine work according to standard operating procedures
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, confidently juggling priorities to achieve expected outcomes
  • Pro-active & a natural collaborator who can deliver strong results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Full, unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence to support deliveries and pickups using a company vehicle

 

This a permanent full-time opportunity(Monday to Friday) with a rotating roster to cover shift timings between 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Due to nature of role there would be an operational requirement to work on-call hours every 3 weeks.
