About the role  

As the Queensland Scientific & Technical Services Assurance Manager, you will lead a team to ensure the delivery of assurance and services that support the efficient, sufficient and timely provision of safe blood and blood products within a service excellence culture.

This role will collaborate with key stakeholders to provide services to Manufacturing teams, ensuring blood and blood products are supplied in accordance with legislative requirements, including the required quality standards. This includes coordinating team activities to support projects, changes, investigations and incident management, manage risks, and seek opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Provide leadership to optimise team capability and engagement
  • Act as a resource for scientific and technical expertise to support Lifeblood’s strategic objectives
  • Identify and prioritise work plans and initiatives to align with Lifeblood's strategic direction
  • Guide and participate in complex problem-solving and troubleshooting activities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the Processing Centre 

 

Sound interesting? Here’s what we’re looking for: 

 

  • Bachelor of Science in a biomedical discipline (or equivalent qualification)
  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities with a passion for sharing knowledge and team development
  • Ability to facilitate issue resolution and improvement initiatives across teams on a broad range of processes.
  • Knowledge of the Australian regulatory environment applicable to the manufacture of blood and blood components and medical devices/ in-vitro diagnostic devices (TGA regulations, NATA and NPAAC).
  • Ability to develop effective interpersonal relationships, provide service, and consult with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills. 

 

 

This is a Permanent Full-time opportunity- 38 hours a week. S&TS department currently operates Monday – Friday and there will be a requirement to satisfy on-site work roster that covers the hours between 8AM – 6PM.
