About the role
The Laboratory Coordinator is responsible for leading, supporting and managing the daily operations of designated Lifeblood Research & Development Laboratories.
The position will be responsible for coordinating laboratory operations, managing the day-to-day functions of the research laboratories, maintaining laboratory equipment, consumables and on an ad hoc basis expenditure. Additionally, the position will be expected to support the team lead in developing and implementing laboratory policies & procedures, train other staff & students, and collaborate with other departments where required.
This is a permanent part-time opportunity based out of our Brisbane Processing Centre.

- Tertiary qualifications in biomedical science / science (Bachelor degree minimum)
- Proven experience in laboratory management
- Proven experience in influence and building positive relationships with internal stakeholders
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a research or cGMP/NATA laboratory setting.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in use of laboratory equipment and software.
- Experience with budget management and procurement processes.
- Experience with regulatory compliance and audits.
- Strong presentation and report-writing skills.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
