About the role  

We have an exciting leadership opportunity based in a unique and clinical setting. We’re looking for an inspirational leader who has gained their experience leading medium or multi-disciplined teams in a highly customer-focused environment to lead a great team delivering exceptional donor service.

We see this as a fantastic opportunity to deliver a supportive and safe experience to our amazing donors, while optimising efficiency and performance. As Donor Centre Manager and with the support of your leadership team, you will inspire your team to achieve collection targets and meet key performance indicators in order to deliver Australia’s supply of blood and blood products. Parallel to this, you will lead by collaboration, direction and support for your team. Thriving on pace and adaptability, you will achieve common goals and foster team effectiveness with respect and empathy.

In this role, you’ll also have the organisational savvy and business acumen to navigate and manage complex issues along with some clinical experience while developing constructive relationships to deliver business outcomes. You’ll be adept at using key financial indicators and metrics to guide decision making.

• Demonstrated experience while handling small/medium sized teams in a structured clinical environment.
• Strong people leadership skills, using human-centric and empathetic management approaches and can work towards change management.
• AHPRA registration as Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse would be preferred however not essential.
• Ability to work alongside donor centre team taking life-giving blood and plasma donations.
• Depending on operational requirement comfortable travelling to all 3 locations (Dubbo, Orange Donor Centres & Donor Mobile Unit).
• Motivation to lead and inspire a team to reach shared goals and key performance indicators
• A passion for coaching people, developing skills within your team members and identifying talent
• Positive nature, with the ability to empathise with donors and team members
• Strong Excel knowledge, with the ability to dissect and interpret data accordingly
• Highly committed to safety and quality
