About the role
We are currently seeking a Red Cell Reference Technician to undertake standardised tasks in the Red Cell Reference laboratory which include, (but not limited to) the following;
- Logging donor and patient samples into our electronic LIMS (Laboratory Information and Management Systems) SoftMol,
- Maintaining laboratory equipment
- Maintaining stock levels of laboratory consumables and reagents
- Manufacture of laboratory solutions
- Administrative tasks
You will continually look for ways to optimise work processes, actively learning and adapting your approach to achieve great outcomes. You will act with a sense of urgency, high energy and enthusiasm and be able to relate openly and comfortably with everyone. You will value interpersonal savvy and self-awareness and reflect on your own strengths and areas for development, making you a valued contributor.

- Previous experience working in a lab or working towards biomedical diploma/ degree essential
- Outstanding team player who supports the achievement of shared goals
- Self-motivated with excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with a collaborative working style
This is a permanent part time opportunity working 19 hours per week out of our Perth Processing Centre. Working days and hours are negotiable between 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday. Lifeblood is proud to accommodate flexible working and we are open to conversations around what this means for you.
