About the role
We’re currently seeking a Session Leader to join our team at the Fremantle Donor Centre. Reporting to the Donor Centre Manager, you’ll provide operational oversight to ensure that the end-to-end donation experience runs efficiently with no compromise on quality or safety.
As a Session Leader, you’ll provide direction, inspiration and support for your team to achieve common goals and foster team effectiveness, as well as managing tough issues with respect. You’ll value self-awareness and reflect on your own strengths and areas for development, making you an even stronger leader.
Key Responsibilities:

Create a supportive and safe environment for our valued donors, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the donation process.

Lead and coach teams, offering guidance to promote high performance and a positive team dynamic.

Perform blood collection procedures, including the insertion and removal of needles, while adhering to strict safety and quality standards.

Serve as the first point of contact for complex donor assessments, handling each case with professionalism and care.

Provide clinical oversight to your team, sharing expertise to ensure successful phlebotomy practices and the highest standards of care.

Take pride in maintaining our commitment to safety and quality in every aspect of the role.
What We’re Looking For:

Proven leadership experience with a strong ability to coach and provide constructive performance feedback.

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish a connection with both donors and team members.

A strong background in customer service.

A collaborative mindset with a focus on teamwork.

Digital and technical proficiency to effectively navigate the tools and systems required for the role.

Clinical experience is preferred, but not essential.
