Discover life-giving possibilities
Lifeblood is more than just a job or a career, it’s an opportunity to be part of something that matters. As an organisation, our purpose is simple: life giving donations, for life changing outcomes. Together, we want to help you build a fulfilling career with Lifeblood.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our newly formed Learning Strategy & Innovation team, where you'll work as part of an agile, collaborative team with a real opportunity to shape the future of learning and development at Lifeblood.
As a Capability Development Specialist, you'll play a key role in building the capabilities that help our people and organisation thrive. Working across a portfolio of strategic priorities, you'll design, deliver and embed initiatives that help our people adapt, grow and perform in a rapidly changing environment.
You'll diagnose capability needs, design practical solutions and help embed learning into everyday work. You'll combine creativity with evidence-informed practice to develop capability solutions that are engaging, scalable and relevant to the realities of work at Lifeblood - this may include designing and facilitating learning programs, establishing communities of practice, curating learning resources and embedding capability development into everyday work. Drawing on feedback, evaluation and emerging approaches, you'll continually refine your work to improve impact and learner experience. You'll be comfortable moving beyond traditional L&D programs to create capability-building approaches that truly drive behaviour change and improve performance.
Success in this role will come from your ability to build trusted relationships, influence stakeholders and translate broad organisational priorities into practical action. Success will be reflected in capability solutions that are adopted by leaders and teams, embedded into everyday ways of working, and contributing to improved capability, performance and employee experience across the organisation.
This role offers a unique opportunity to influence how Lifeblood develops future-focused capabilities and to help create a culture where learning is part of everyday work.
Sound interesting? Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Ability to diagnose capability needs using stakeholder insights, workforce data and business priorities
- Experience designing and implementing capability solutions that support learning, behaviour change and performance improvement
- Strong facilitation skills across face-to-face, virtual and collaborative learning environments
- Ability to translate complex concepts into practical tools, resources and learning experiences
- Experience evaluating impact and using feedback and data to continuously improve capability initiatives
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and partner with leaders at all levels
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Behavioural Science, Education or a related discipline are highly regarded.
- Qualifications in adult learning, instructional design, coaching, facilitation or change management would be advantageous.
