About the role

As we deliver on our Workforce of Champions strategy, we are seeking an exceptional leader to shape how our people experience work, connect to purpose, and bring strategy to life every day.

This is a rare opportunity to lead Employee Experience and Internal Communications at scale, influencing culture, capability and performance across a complex, purpose driven organisation.

Reporting into Executive Director P&C this role is accountable for building and sustaining enterprise‑wide People & Culture ways of working that drive engagement, alignment and impact.

You will:

  • Design and deliver an integrated, enterprise‑wide employee experience and engagement program that elevates how our people feel, connect and perform.
  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to Executive Directors and senior leaders, shaping powerful people narratives that link strategy to execution.
  • Lead internal communications and engagement as a strategic enabler of business outcomes, not just messaging, but meaning.
  • Act as a key conduit between People & Culture, Strategy and the broader business to ensure people initiatives deliver measurable value.
  • Lead and steward the enterprise‑wide People & Culture program of work, empowering leaders and teams with best‑practice program and project management capability to deliver outcomes at pace and scale.
  • Champion an inclusive, high‑performance culture where leaders are equipped to engage their teams with clarity, confidence and authenticity.

You are a senior, enterprise‑minded leader with a strong blend of strategic insight, communication mastery and execution excellence. You thrive at the intersection of people, culture, experience and performance.

You bring:

  • Significant senior leadership experience across Employee Experience (EX) and/or Customer Experience (CX), enterprise communications, and/or large‑scale workforce programs.
  • Deep expertise in leading enterprise‑wide communications, engagement and employee experience strategies, with a strong track record as a trusted advisor to senior leaders.
  • A proven ability to translate complex business strategy into clear, compelling people narratives that drive understanding, alignment and action at scale.
  • Strong understanding of culture, engagement and workplace experience, and how to embed these into everyday leadership practice and ways of working.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, multi‑stakeholder, enterprise initiatives, balancing competing priorities while delivering measurable impact.
  • Experience leading high‑performing, multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration, innovation and clarity of purpose.
  • Excellence in program and portfolio management capability with a focus on outcomes and ROI.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with a strategic, analytical and creative mindset informed by employee insights and data.
  • A genuine passion for building a strong, inclusive culture aligned to organisational purpose and values.
