About the role
Are you a strategic leader with a passion for infrastructure optimisation and future-focused planning? We’re looking for an experienced and dynamic Director of Property and Operations Infrastructure to join the team.
Reporting the Chief Financial Officer and being a key member of the Finance & Corporate Leadership Team (F&CLT), you’ll share accountability for delivering organisational performance through strong financial management, business process excellence, and stakeholder transparency. This pivotal role leads our property, equipment, and donor centre (includes non-static locations) network strategy, ensuring we’re well-positioned to meet future business demands.
You’ll spearhead the strategic development and expansion of our Donor Centre (collections) network and equipment infrastructure, enhancing the donor and staff experience through a safe, reliable, and consistent operational environment.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the strategic direction of our property, equipment, and network infrastructure to support long-term Donor Centre (collections) network expansion.
- Oversee optimisation of property portfolio (including new site strategy and fitout of existing) and equipment to ensure cost efficiency, safety, and service consistency.
- Manage relationships with suppliers providing key infrastructure and equipment assets—owned, leased, or managed.
- Collaborate with the CFO, executive directors, and other key stakeholders to continuously evaluate and improve the strategic positioning of the Lifeblood collection network and network footprint.
- Support the execution of the Mobile Strategy in partnership with the Director of Non-Static Sites, contributing to the Donor Network Steering Committee and Strategic Capital Planning cycle.
- Work alongside Government Relations and Media PR teams to support the implementation and communication of changes to the network infrastructure.
Sound interesting? Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Tertiary qualification in Business or Property Management with post graduate industry qualifications with in-depth experience in a similar role.
- Extensive (c10+ years’) experience in construction and property portfolios including project planning and national asset management (exposure to health industry or retail is highly advantageous)
- Proven ability to identify, develop and drive strategic initiatives and execute change and transformation programs.
- Outstanding negotiation, conflict resolution and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership capability to manage a national team across a diverse range of roles with demonstrated experience in driving a strong safety culture.
- Experience with Board level project governance.
- Financial management with annual operating budget of $4M+ and capital projects of up to $50m.
- An innovator, you will have led programs to create new and better ways of working. It is expected that you will be at home making sense of complex information to solve problems too.
- You will have had exposure to, and be comfortable with, navigating Board level interactions and preparing material for executive level review
