About the role

Reporting to the Finance Business Partner Lead, you'll work closely with leaders across an assigned operational portfolio, such as Donor Experience and Engagement or Manufacturing and Logistics, helping them understand financial performance, identify key drivers and make informed decisions. You'll deliver insights across budgeting, forecasting, planning and performance management, translating complex financial information into clear recommendations and constructive commercial conversations.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with leaders to provide financial insight, analysis and advice that supports operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Support annual budgets, forecasts and long-range planning, developing robust assumptions, financial models and recommendations aligned to operational plans.
  • Analyse financial performance, variances, forecast movements and key business drivers, translating findings into clear narratives and actionable insights.
  • Build trusted stakeholder relationships and lead routine portfolio performance conversations, providing constructive challenge and escalating material issues, trade-offs and executive-level matters to the Finance Business Partner Lead.
  • Deliver timely, accurate and insightful financial reporting that strengthens understanding and accountability across the portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Finance Business Partners and Management Accountants to deliver an integrated finance service, providing guidance, review and support to Management Accountants to maintain high-quality outputs and build capability.
  • Maintain strong financial governance, controls and data integrity while identifying opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate financial processes and reporting

Sound interesting? Here’s what we’re looking for:

You're a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working with people just as much as working with numbers. You can look beyond the financial result to understand what's driving it, ask the right questions and translate complex information into practical insights for non-finance stakeholders.

You’ll also bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline, together with a CA, CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience in finance business partnering, ideally within a complex or multi-site organisation.
  • Strong capability across budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and management reporting.
  • Experience partnering with operational or corporate stakeholders and using financial insights to support decision-making.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify performance drivers and communicate their implications clearly.
  • Sound knowledge of financial controls, governance and compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting or mentoring team members and contributing to their capability development.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, paired with a proactive and collaborative working style.
