About the role  

 

The Finance Manager, Transplantation and Immunogenetics Services (TIS) is responsible for leading financial strategy, cost modelling and commercial analysis across the Transplantation Immunogenetics Service. The role provides strategic and operational financial leadership, including the development and delivery of pricing and costing models, Medicare billing oversight, business case development and financial advice that supports the TIS Service Strategy.

 

As the TIS financial specialist and a member of the TIS Leadership Team, the Finance Manager will lead financial modelling, commercial pricing, project benefit analysis (including ROI and payback assessments), and the establishment of financial KPIs to support informed decision-making and service sustainability. The role will also identify opportunities for process improvement and implement innovative financial approaches to enhance commercial performance and financial maturity across the service.

 

This position will have one direct report.

 

Sound interesting? Here’s what we’re looking for: 

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant fields (Finance, Business, Economics  Management).
  • Certified Practising Accountant (CPA)/Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in financial reporting, analytics and corporate finance.
  • Strong capability in budgeting, forecasting, investment evaluation and financial modelling.
  • Experience in Health Finance, including Medicare billing. 
  • Specific experience in financial modelling, commercial pricing and analytics.
  • Ability to handle competing priorities requiring significant stakeholder engagement and adaptive leadership.
  • Trusted influencer with experience working across all levels, from Executives, Senior Leaders to peers – with proven ability to lead significant financial change programs and influence commercial decisions.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and documentation skills including the ability to succinctly and effectively communicate with technical and non-technical people, translating the complex concepts into easy-to-understand language for various audiences.
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills in planning and prioritisation.
