About the role
The Head of Training, Donor Experience is a key senior leadership role responsible for driving the strategic direction and delivery of training across the Donor Experience function. Leading a large, geographically dispersed team, the role ensures workforce capability, regulatory compliance, and consistent delivery of high‑quality donor experiences nationwide.
With end‑to‑end accountability for the Donor Experience training lifecycle, the role oversees induction and onboarding, annual competency assessments, mandatory refresher programs, and ongoing capability uplift. All training outcomes align with clinical, GMP, HSE, and customer‑centric standards, supporting operational excellence and regulatory assurance.
Working in close partnership with the central Learning & Development team, the role embeds enterprise learning frameworks, oversees key capability programs and is a key driver of delivering the Future of Learning strategy within Donor Experience.
This role requires significant people leadership experience, with responsibility for a team of 30+ training professionals and provides network‑wide oversight of critical skills including de‑escalation, CPR, and First Aid, contributing directly to donor safety and organisational risk management. Demonstrated experience leading people through significant change is essential.

- Proven experience leading large, diverse training teams, especially through significant change.
- Ability to design and implement training strategies aligned with organisational goals across a large and geographically diverse business unit
- Solid knowledge of contemporary, evidence-based learning & development practices and learning theory, with proven ability to turn these into practice in an organisational environment
- Expertise in developing modular, blended training programs using digital tools (e.g., AR/VR, interactive content) would be highly advantageous
- Ability to build and manage annual competency assessments, refresher training, and credentialing pathways
- Ownership of training documentation, and learning records, ensuring compliance with GMP, HSE, and clinical standards
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate training effectiveness and inform continuous improvement
- Ability to work with clinical, operational, and quality teams to ensure training meets business and regulatory needs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to influence and engage learners, leaders, and external partners
This is a 12 month fixed-term full-time opportunity with a hybrid work model rotating between WFH and one of our processing centres.
