About the role  

 

We are seeking improvement-focused and data-driven Manufacturing Engineer to join our Manufacturing & Logistics team. Reporting to the Continuous Improvement and Engineering Manager, this is a pivotal role in optimising manufacturing processes, improving operational performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives while collaboration with various teams.

 

This role combines engineering expertise, process optimisation, data analysis, and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to improve efficiency, reduce waste, enhance quality, and support safe and reliable production outcomes within a highly regulated environment.

 

A typical day in the role will see you:

 

  • Analysing manufacturing and logistics data to identify trends, insights, and improvement opportunities.
  • Leading and supporting continuous improvement initiatives including Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and root cause investigations.
  • Optimise manufacturing processes, workflows, and develop new techniques to improve productivity and reduce waste.
  • Partner with Manufacturing & Logistics stakeholders, Leadership team, ICT, Quality, and Continuous Improvement teams to deliver operational improvements.
  • Develop standard work, visual management tools, and control plans to sustain process improvements.
  • Conduct process analysis, risk assessments, and performance reviews to support operational excellence.
  • Assemble reports, dashboards to build data-driven recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Contribute to process design, layout modifications, equipment improvements, and workflow enhancements.
  • Support compliance with safety, quality, GMP, and regulatory requirements

 

 

Sound interesting? Here’s what we’re looking for: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field with 4-5 years of experience as Manufacturing Engineer.
  • Strong proficiencies in process design, optimisation, and compliance to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety in engineering solutions within biological and/or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience optimising manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and utilising data-driven insights for continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and process simulation tools, alongside a strong grasp of data visualisation techniques would be highly regarded.
  • Exceptional analytical skills to dissect complex problems and devise effective solutions through rigorous data analysis and statistical methods.
  • A natural collaborator with excellent communication and presentation capabilities to handle internal & external stakeholders.
  • A safety-first mindset, with the ability to conduct risk assessments while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
  • Proactive and inquisitive, with a strong ability to identify opportunities and take action.
