Lifeblood is more than just a job or a career; it’s an opportunity to be part of something that matters. As an organisation, our purpose is simple: life giving donations, for life changing outcomes. Together, we want to help you build a fulfilling career with Lifeblood.

About the role

We’re looking for a National Production Planning Lead to guide how we plan and manage the production of blood and biological products across our national network. In this role you’ll make sure our production plans are clear, achievable and aligned with future demand, so we can deliver what’s needed, when it’s needed. You’ll help build a culture of teamwork, service and continuous improvement.

As the connection between our regional Production teams, Integrated Planning and the wider Manufacturing and Logistics group, you’ll shape planning strategies that keep our supply consistent, reliable and on time.

Working closely with Production Managers, you’ll turn collection forecasts into practical, efficient production plans that make the best use of our people and resources. You’ll also play an important role in keeping production running smoothly when things change, by modelling different scenarios, understanding our capacity and sharing insights that guide national decisions.

This role calls for strong leadership, clear thinking and a collaborative mindset. If you’re passionate about improving how we work and supporting a trusted, responsive healthcare service, you’ll make a real difference here at Lifeblood.

Sound interesting? Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Process Engineering or related analytical discipline
  • 10+ yrs experience in planning/production function in highly regulated manufacturing environments
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to build rapport and collaborate
  • Able to organise and prioritise work
  • Ability to critically evaluate and make data-based decisions
  • Ability to identify and analyse problems and develop practical solutions
  • Able to work accurately and with attention to the detail
  • Proven ability to develop effective interpersonal relationships and consult with a range of external and internal stakeholders
  • Computer literacy and demonstrated competence in a variety of computer software packages (MS project, excel, word, power point etc.).
  • Experience of working within a highly regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality.
  • Component and product knowledge

This is a permanent full-time opportunity working in our Sydney or Melbourne Processing Centre + WFH. Lifeblood is proud to accommodate flexible working, and we are open to conversations around what this means to you.
