About the role
The Partner Commercial Lead role serves as the business development and commercial lead for service identification and contractual arrangements for all Lifeblood product and service offerings within the scope of the Manufacturing and Logistics Business Unit. They are the primary point of contact for all service development and scoping, including contract development and management, liaising across all Lifeblood Business Units where stakeholder relationships exist. This role has a lead role in developing a service excellence culture within Partner Operations, and to contribute to the development of Lifeblood’s capacity and capability planning >12 months+ for both services and products for Health Partners.
The Partner Commercial Lead will be responsible for developing and advancing key external commercial relationships including but not limited to, pathology and hospital management and executive leaders, academia and biotechnology research organisations for the purpose of understanding and contracting health service partner needs while delivering to the Lifeblood strategy and directorate activity plans.
The role will ensure a standardised national approach to the contracting of services provided by Lifeblood for health service partners through the successful delivery and monitoring of agreed work plans, deliverables, and timeframes in contracts.

- Tertiary qualifications in Bachelor of Science/Medical Science/Biomedical Science or related analytical discipline.
- Experience developing scope of services for contracts and commercial profitability analysis
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to strengthen partnerships.
- Track record of developing systemic improvements and analysis to advocate for changes in processes to improve partner service delivery
- Ability to develop effective interpersonal relationships and consult with a range of external and internal stakeholders.
- Proven ability of achieving results by leveraging organisational skills through effective prioritisation, decision-making, and time management.
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment (TGA regulations, NATA and NPAAC) or broader Healthcare Sector with commitment to safety and quality.
- Comfortable attending industry conferences and events which may require travelling interstate & can be outside of regular working hours.
- Technical & Digital Aptitude
This is a permanent full-time opportunity. The role will require blend of onsite work from one of our Processing/Distribution Centres with interstate travel as required with some flexibility to WFH.
