About the role
Lifeblood is seeking a Payroll Specialist to ensure precise and timely calculation of salaries, wages, and entitlements. This role involves meticulous record-keeping, distribution of payroll reports, and adherence to statutory obligations.
You will partner and support your client group on employment obligations to ensure accurate payroll outputs while providing expert guidance on payroll legislation and processes.

- Extensive proven payroll expertise at an advanced level in a large organization with multiple agreements – over 4000 employees.
- Seeking a competent and proactive team player who is eager to learn, enjoys working collaboratively, and embraces challenges with responsibility and accountability. Able to work independently as well as part of a team and engage effectively with stakeholders across the portfolio.
- Desirable to have competence in all functions of the CHRIS21 payroll system including reporting, or a strong ability to quickly learn and adapt to new payroll systems.
- Detailed knowledge of end-to-end payroll processing for fortnightly pay cycles, ensuring accurate calculations, timely processing, and compliance with relevant agreements.
- Expertise with a Time & Attendance system (preferably Time Target).
- Strong working knowledge of the calculations and treatment of terminations, redundancies, or other special events.
- High level of skill in numeracy, problem solving, and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently and meet strict deadlines.
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation in payroll, taxation, superannuation, and other relevant areas.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
