About the role
Reporting to the Senior DevOps Lead, the Application Developer works in the team responsible for the development, delivery and support of numerous bespoke Lifeblood applications used nationally. 


The role requires you to write code in .Net for the creation and ongoing maintenance of applications at Lifeblood. This includes DevOps, SecOps and quality procedures within a SAFe Agile operating environment. The role works closely with Lifeblood’s partners and internal teams to deliver individual application solutions for both internal and external use.


The role is hybrid providing work from home or office and will also require after-hours support on a rotating roster basis.

 

Sound interesting? Here’s what we are looking for;

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, IT or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience working in a Cloud based environment, including the development of DevOps pipeline delivery mechanisms. 
  • 4+ years’ experience delivering .Net based software solutions.
  • Experience creating infrastructure as code for the establishment of new environments and AWS assets.
  • Experience integrating with systems of record through SOAP and REST web services.
  • Experience with technologies including Angular, Typescript, HTML5, CSS3, LESS, .Net Core, EF Core, SQL Server, Dynatrace and Confluence.
  • Experience using security tools such as Wiz.
  • Proficient in using DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, and Octopus Deploy. 
  • Experience with MS SQL Server.
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, best practices and standards.
  • Experience with ITIL 4 management practices. 
  • Experience in peer-to-peer code review.
  • Ability to present technology solutions to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong degree of innovation and able to influence, facilitate and negotiate effectively.
  • Ability to contribute to technology strategies and roadmaps, particularly in relation to application solutions.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement and client service principles.
  • Understanding of secure coding and data handling practices.

 

This is a permanent full-time opportunity with a hybrid working environment based out of our Processing Centre in Melbourne, however we are open to candidates from other locations within Australia. You may be required to work after-hours on a rotating roster, so some flexibility is required.
