Discover life-giving possibilities

Lifeblood is more than just a job or a career, it’s an opportunity to be part of something that matters. As an organisation, our purpose is simple: life giving donations, for life changing outcomes. Together, we want to help you build a fulfilling career with Lifeblood.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our newly formed Learning Strategy & Innovation team, where you'll work as part of an agile, collaborative team with a real opportunity to shape the future of learning and development at Lifeblood.

As a Senior Learning Design Specialist, you'll lead the design of learning solutions to ensure efficient, effective and engaging learning experiences for our operational teams. Working in an agile, collaborative environment, you'll focus on improving how people learn in operational settings, ensuring learning is practical, relevant, and fits naturally within the realities of day-to-day work.

You'll work closely with stakeholders to understand challenges, identify learning needs and develop creative solutions that improve both learner experience and business outcomes. This may include rethinking traditional training approaches, testing new methods, embedding learning within workflows, improving performance support resources, and finding ways to build capability that are more effective and sustainable.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll encourage experimentation, shared learning and continuous improvement while contributing to a culture that values practical, learner-centred solutions. You'll evaluate what is working, use evidence and feedback to inform decisions, and help build a stronger understanding of how learning can best support performance in operational environments.

Sound interesting? Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Extensive experience designing learning solutions for complex operational environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and consulting skills, including the ability to influence and partner with leaders and subject matter experts
  • Experience applying approaches beyond traditional training, including workflow learning, performance support and on-the-job capability development
  • Experience testing, evaluating and continuously improving learning approaches based on evidence, feedback and operational outcomes
  • Experience supporting frontline, operational, technical, manufacturing or healthcare workforces
  • Advanced skills in the use of eLearning software such as Articulate and/or Chameleon Creator
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop less experienced learning practitioners
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or tertiary qualification in training design
