About the role  

Under the guidance of the Lead Solution Architect, the Solution Architect will deliver specialist ICT solution architecture services to support the successful delivery of Agile initiatives. This role plays a key part in enhancing ICT systems, operations, and support, enabling the ICT business unit to provide exceptional service to the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood organisation. In particularthis role will help shape the transformation of Lifeblood’s donor-facing digital landscape.  

 

Additionally, the position will contribute to Lifeblood’s Technology and Enterprise Architecture functions, including active participation in ICT forums and the development of strategic roadmaps.

  • Proven ability to translate business and technical requirements into effective solution architectures
  • Skilled in developing solution designs that drive business outcomes across applications and systems
  • Experienced in reviewing and validating architectural artefacts from peers and vendors
  • Strong communicator, confident engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including third-party partners
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills with a conceptual mindset
  • Experienced in guiding solutions through architecture governance processes
  • Hands-on with architecture tools (e.g. iServer, HOPEX, Lucidchart)
  • Knowledgeable in cybersecurity, system monitoring, and data protection practices
  • Familiar with enterprise architecture concepts, including roadmap development
  • Track record of delivering ICT solutions across diverse technologies (applications, integration, infrastructure, data)
  • Experience leading or contributing to customer-facing digital transformation initiatives
  • Qualified in ICT or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
  • Working knowledge of ITIL, project management principles, and Agile frameworks (e.g. SAFe)
  • Strong grounding in architecture and system design methodologies (e.g. TOGAF)
