About the role
The Clinical Care function at Lifeblood plays a critical role in ensuring the quality, safety and effectiveness of our processes, enabling appropriate care and follow-up for our valued customers. Our team of dedicated nursing professionals and support staff operate within our Clinical Principles Framework, grounded in Good Manufacturing Practice, Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia standards, and AHPRA registration requirements.
We are seeking a Strategic Partner, Clinical Care to provide expert guidance, technical leadership and project support across the organisation. You will work at the intersection of clinical excellence, innovation and operational delivery and will be accountable to:
- Provide expert advice, guidance and technical support to initiatives and projects across Clinical Care as well as to donor centre teams.
- Support efficient blood collection processes, minimise wastage, and ensure safety for donors and recipients
- Partner closely with the Strategic Transformation and Readiness team to support innovation and continuous improvement
- Drive national consistency by sharing knowledge, insights and best practice across the network
- Identify and lead opportunities for innovation, process improvement and standardisation aligned to organisational strategy
- Provide project and subject matter expertise to Clinical Care, Donor Experience, and Strategic Transformation & Readiness teams
- Work closely with the Senior Manager, Insights and Innovation to establish priorities and deliver high-impact outcomes

- Advanced process analysis and mapping skills
- Ability to influence data and effectively partner with other technical experts to drive innovation and educate on the use and interpretation of data
- Strong interpretive and problem-solving capability, with the ability to translate complex information for a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and sustain effective relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
- Proven ability to identify, assess and resolve problems using sound judgement
- Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety and best practice, including a strong understanding of cGMP / Quality Management Principles
- Leadership capability, with the ability to coach, influence and provide constructive feedback
- Ability to embrace curiosity, innovation and change in a complex environment
